Introduction to Beekeeping
DCBA values educating the community. Each year we offer an introductory course where you will be:
- Invited to join our beekeeping community who values sharing information with each other.
- Invited to participate in DCBA apiary workdays.
- Assisted in deciding if you want to become a beekeeper.
- Prepared to set up a colony of bees.
- Supported by local beekeepers if you set up a colony.
- Prepared to get a hive through their first winter.
- Prepared for the Certification Exams of the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association’s Certification
DCBA is offering Bee School 2025 – in-person, Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30 PM.
