Due to the first annual DCBA Beekeeper School- January, February and March’s meetings will be the 3rd Tuesday at the Mission Post, American Tobacco Campus. This month’s meeting is Tuesday, 1/20/2015, 6:30pm. Our speaker is Leigh-Kathryn Bonner of Bee Downtown, whom also helped secure the temporary space. She will be speaking about the non profit Bee Downtown, featuring the observation hive at Burt’s Bees, roof top apiary above the Power Plant Building and many other great things sure to come!
Click here for a link to a map of the American Tobacco Campus. Mission Post is labeled in the yellow block (Reed Building). I recommend parking at the free north parking garage (305 West Pettigrew Street, Durham NC 27701), then walk to the iconic Lucky Strike smoke stack, which is very visible. Mission Post is directly east of the Lucky Strike smoke stack, right next to Stack Alley and Cuban Revolution, just behind the Power Plant building, (between the Lucky Strike Tower and Lucky Strike Smoke Stack). We will hang the Durham Beekeeper banner so you will find it easier.
We will return to the Sarah P. Duke Gardens on Monday April 20, 2015
